‘Illuminate’ was an event organized by two fellow designers, Josh Williams and Lydia Skinner, to challenge the perception of what an exhibition is, and has to be.
Held in the empty caverns below their house, 13 designers were invited to produce a response to the word ‘illuminate’ that would be screen printed with ink that glows in the dark. With a short deadline to the brief I wanted my response to be simple and bold, the result was to recreate the F2 key from Apple Mac keyboards, the key that increases the brightness of the screen.
