This book focuses on the relationship between hand and machine in a way that sees man working as machine. This notion is illustrated by the world of professional sports, a world where success is judged by fractions of time and distance, much like the accuracy demanded of machines in the technological age that we live in today.
A selection of sporting activities are represented by combinations of simple geometric shapes and annotated by a piece of information regarding quantum physics. This shows the differences between these two subjects, yet at the same time illustrates the precise measures required by both and creates a narrative throughout the book whilst relating to the image they are coupled with.
